So I wrote in The Sexual Mind about pheromones and how skincare, perfumes, aftershaves, and body creams cover up our natural scent. In fact, when I take a whiff of Jo Malone’s Nutmeg and Vanilla, it smells chemically. Nothing compares to my orange essential oil (available from Aromatherapy Direct) It’s quite beautiful to walk round smelling of oranges, lemons, and limes. I’m a natural fruit case. Only need the fragrance of nuts now to become a fruit and nut case! Few dabs around the belly button, between the breasts, and behind the ears. It’s natural perfume, and essential oils do not cover the natural fragrance, but rather amplifies it. Of course essential oils are found in perfumes, but a whole load of other chemicals and alcohol are found in synthetic fragrances. Maybe one day I’ll come up with the natural fragrance for Dolce and Gabanna’s By and Davidoff’s Coolwater for Men. The women’s fragrance is sick!
Since I found out that there are cancer causing ingredients in Shampoo, I have found a fantastic Neem soap with citronella (lemongrass), which is perfect to protect the body against pesky mosquitos and other bugs. Also taking vitamin B1 (Thiamine) 30 days before you go on holiday acts as an insect repellant.
Although this Neem soap is quite expensive per bar £2.20 (from Hebden Bridge) or £2.50 via website, One Village, it is perfect to treat eczema an other skin problems. It cleanses, the hair, face, and body, and is free from harmful perfumes and chemicals.
In the kitchen, I’ve told Mr Muscle to take a hike once and for all and I’m making my own cleanser with ionized water and 10-20 drops of lemon and lime essential oil. Lavender is also a bactericide. I’ve been using my own blend for about eight months and I’ve not had any food poisoning. I’ll bet it kills 100% of bacteria also. I’m saving money from expensive cleansers.
On my skin, I use the oil cleansing method. It’s quite simple. Use caster oil or olive oil (I use vitamin E edible oil from Holland & Barratt) smother it over the face and leave to sink into the pores for thirty seconds. Then use hot water on a flannel and wipe away the oil. It’s the best skin cleansing method in the world, and it’s free of chemicals and damn cheap! Unbelievably, adding oil to the skin melts away the dirt to be wiped away.
All the old deodorants have gone in the bin too as I am using a crystal stick, which works fantastic and lasts for months and months. Living the Au Naturale way is a great way to heal your home, heal your body, mind, and spirit, and heal the environment, which is already polluted with too much crap.
It takes only a bit of willpower and awareness to be grateful for your body and what you put in it. Treat it like a piece of gold, polish it with natural products, and internally cleanse it with detoxing and healthy foods. Since turning vegetarian five days ago, I feel that I’ve lost a little weight, stopped turning to junk food, and my mental focus is back with a vengeance.
